Young Creators Class (Ages 4-10)

Let your child’s imagination take the lead in Creative Explorers, an art class where their ideas, creativity, and choices shape the final masterpiece for Artists aged 4-10.

Through ceramics, painting, and mixed media, kids will experiment with different techniques and materials while drawing inspiration from iconic artists like Beatrix Potter, Yayoi Kusama, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and more. Each project is designed to empower young artists—guiding them through new skills while ensuring their personal vision stays at the heart of their work.

Because great art takes time, projects often span 2-3 weeks, allowing kids to dive deep into their creativity and bring their unique ideas to life.

Class Schedule:

🎨 Saturdays | 9:00-11:00AM

Here, every brushstroke, sculpture, and design choice is theirs to make—we provide the inspiration, guidance, and tools, but the creative decisions belong to the artist! Whether they want to boldly reinvent van Gogh’s swirls, add their own patterns to Kusama-inspired pieces, or sculpt characters straight from their imagination, this is a space where their creativity is celebrated.

How to Register:
Select your preferred session length (3 or 6 weeks), then choose the session that works best for you. Click the (i) icon to view the specific dates your child will attend. If a class needs to be missed, please let us know in advance so we can arrange an alternative day.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What should my child wear and bring? 
- For all activities at the studio, please have your child wear clothes that can get messy, as they’ll be engaging in creative activities. They are more than welcome to bring snacks or a water bottle. 

Can my child they create what they want?
- Each session features a brand new theme with fun and engaging projects. While the theme guides the activities, children are welcome to bring their own creative ideas to the projects. If they prefer, they can choose to step outside the theme and create something unique, but please note that each child will receive the same amount and type of materials. 

My child is sick and needs to stay home. Can I get a refund?
- We’re really sorry to hear that your child is feeling unwell! Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds as materials are purchased in advance. However, we understand that sometimes life happens, and we’re happy to offer make-up days if our schedule allows. Please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can check availability and arrange a suitable make-up day for your child. We appreciate your understanding!

When will my child's project be ready for pick-up?
- Your child's ceramic clay project will need to go through two kiln firings and will be ready for pick-up 5-10 business days after their day camp. We’ll contact you via email once it’s ready. Please note that projects left at the studio for more than 3 months will be donated. Be sure to pick it up in a timely manner!

My child has behavioural issues, is that an issue?
- Not at all! We understand that children are still learning how to regulate their emotions. We’re happy to support your child in their creative journey. However, if your child’s behaviour significantly disrupts the experience for other children or it becomes violent, we may need to move them to a safe space and contact you to pick them up. If your child is registered for more than one class, they are more than welcome to return and try again! We want to make sure everyone has a positive experience.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and we strive to be flexible when things come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule your day camp registration, we are happy to offer one-time rescheduling as long as we are notified as soon as possible. To ensure we can accommodate your request, please contact us as soon as you know you need to reschedule. No-shows will result in the forfeiture of your spot with no rescheduling offer. There are no refunds for any cancellation. You may be offered a store credit or a rescheduling opportunity if applicable. Thank you for your understanding!
