Can I Bring Food & Drinks?
- You are more than welcome to bring nut free snacks and drinks leak proof containers. Please be advised that there is no fridge on the premises.
Can Parents Stay?
- Drop-off is strongly preferred for parties and classes as parking is limited. For guests who may need a few extra minutes with their parents, they are more than welcome to stay. Any parent that does wish to stay, it is strongly encouraged that they sit back and relax while their child creates their project.
What Should I Wear?
- All participants are strongly advised to wear clothes that does not have any sentimental value. There are no aprons available for students.
When Will My Project Be Ready For Pick Up?
- Ceramic and Polymer Clay projects will be left at the studio to be fired in the kiln or baked. You will be contacted within 5-10 business days for pick-up. Any projects left at the studio after a 3 month period will be donated.
Can I Create Whatever I Want?
- Creative control is primarily in your hands, allowing you the freedom to express your unique ideas and artistic vision. However, this will be within reasonable boundaries to ensure that all projects and activities align with the studio's guidelines to maintain a positive, respectful environment. We encourage you to explore and push your creative limits, while keeping the studio's policies and shared space considerations.
Where Can I Park?
- There is meter and street parking in the front of the store. Vehicles parked in the Animal Hospital parking lot is subject to be towed at your own expense.
What If I am going to be late?
- We recommend arriving on time so you don't miss out on important instructions. Please inform us via phone or email if you are going to be late. If you arrive late, please be courteous to the instructor and participants and we will get you caught up. After 30 minutes, you will be considered a no-show and will be rebooked at your own expense.
I Need To Reschedule, What Do I Do?
- If you need to reschedule for any reason, please let us know no more than 1 hour prior to your scheduled event or appointment so we can reschedule. No-shows will not be given a refund or an opportunity to reschedule.
How Many Guests Do I Book For My Party?
- If you are unsure about the number of confirmed guests attending your party, book for the minimum number of guests that are confirmed. When you know how many guests are attending, please let us know to ensure there is enough prepared materials for the day.
What Happens If I Go Over My Party Time?
- We give a 15 minute grace period for every party. Due to having other bookings, we will charge an additional $50 for every half an hour after the 15 minute grace period. This will be paid in store.

Can I Bring My Own Materials?
- Outside of ceramic clay, you are more than welcome to bring your own materials compatible with the medium (ie: specialty glitter for acrylic paintings). If you would like your ceramic pieces to be fired in the kiln, please contact us!
What Materials Are Supplied?
- Clay & Canvas provides all of the materials needed for projects. Artists are more than welcome to use materials compatible with that medium, within reason. Instructors will advise which materials are compatible and give advice on how to spruce up projects if desired.
Is the Studio Accessible to People With Disabilities?
- Yes, our studio is designed to be accessible to everyone. If you need any additional accommodations, please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements for you.
Is the Studio a Safe Space?
- Yes, our studio is a safe and inclusive space where everyone is respected and valued. We strive to create an environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and support. Disrespectful behaviour or discrimination of any kind is not tolerated.
