Can I Bring Food & Drinks?
- You are more than welcome to bring nut free snacks and drinks leak proof containers. Please be advised that there is no fridge on the premises. Don't worry about the clean-up or the mess!

Can Parents Stay For Parties?
- Other than the party parents (the birthday child’s parents), we kindly ask that all other guests be dropped off. Our space is cozy, and keeping the group small helps us avoid distractions and run a smooth, fun event for the kids. If your child is under 4 and needs a parent to stay, that’s absolutely okay! For everyone else, there are lots of great spots nearby—coffee shops, restaurants, malls, and more—to enjoy while you wait. Thanks so much for your understanding!

What Should I Wear?
- All participants are strongly advised to wear clothes that does not have any sentimental value. There are no aprons available for students. Shoes are mandatory.

When Will My Project Be Ready For Pick Up?
- Ceramic Projects need to be fired in the kiln and will be ready within 5-10 business days for pickup. Splatter Paintings will be left at the studio to dry and be varnished and will be ready for pickup within 72 hours. Buddy Board projects need to be baked and assembled, they will be ready for pickup with 72 hours. Themed painting projects could be left to dry and be varnished or can be taken the day of the party. Party Parents will be contacted via email to pickup all projects to be distributed to the Guests. 

Can Every Child Make What They Want?
- Each party at Clay & Canvas offers its own balance of structure and creativity. While all parties include a fun and engaging project, the level of creative control can vary depending on the type of party you choose. Some parties follow a theme or group activity, while others allow more freedom for personal expression. We recommend checking the details of your selected party type to see how much creative freedom guests will have during the experience.

Where Can Party Parents Park?
- There is meter and street parking in the front of the store. There is one spot directly behind the studio. Any additional vehicles parked in the back or side parking lot is subject to be towed at your own expense.

What If I am going to be late?
- We recommend arriving on time and requesting guests arrive on time so you don't miss out on important instructions. Please inform us via phone or email if you are going to be late. If you arrive late, please be courteous to the instructor and participants and we will get you caught up. After 30 minutes, you will be considered a no-show and will be rebooked at your own expense.

I Need To Reschedule, What Do I Do?
- If you need to reschedule for any reason, please let us know no more than 1 hour prior to your scheduled event or appointment so we can reschedule. No-shows will not be given a refund or an opportunity to reschedule. 

I need to cancel my booked party, can I get a refund?

Unfortunately,  we do not offer refunds for cancelled parties, as materials are purchased in advance to prepare for your event. However, you may be eligible for a credit that can be used toward another party, day camp, class or workshop. PLease read our Reschedule Policy to see if you are eligible for a rescheduling opportunity. We understand that cancellations can be frustrating, and we truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please ensure you have read all of our policies carefully to make sure that Clay & Canvas is the right fit for you and your guests. Understanding our guidelines helps us create a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests and instructors!

How Many Guests Do I Book For My Party? 
- If you are unsure about the number of confirmed guests attending your party, book for the minimum number of guests that are confirmed. When you know how many guests are attending, please let us know to ensure there is enough prepared materials for the day. 

What Happens If I Go Over My Party Time? 
- We give a 15 minute grace period for every party. Due to having other bookings, we will charge an additional $50 after the 15 minute grace period. This will be paid in store or you will be sent an invoice. Any unpaid bills may result in the withholding of your creations. 

Can I Bring My Own Materials?
- Each party includes all the materials needed for the activity, but you may be able to bring your own materials, depending on the party type. We ask that you review the materials provided for your specific party and reach out to us in advance to discuss any items you'd like to bring—this helps us ensure they’re safe, suitable, and won’t interfere with the experience.

What Materials Are Supplied?
- Clay & Canvas provides all the necessary materials for each party type to ensure a fun and smooth experience. If you're interested in upgrading your party with additional features or materials, just contact us—we're happy to accommodate! Please note that upgrades may come with an additional charge.

Is the Studio Accessible to People With Disabilities?
- Yes, our studio is designed to be accessible to everyone. If you need any additional accommodations, please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements for you. If you or your guests need an Aide Worker, please let us know! 

Is the Studio a Safe Space?
- Yes, our studio is a safe and inclusive space where everyone is respected and valued. We strive to create an environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and support. Disrespectful behaviour such as violence, bullying, racism, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, misogyny or discrimination of any kind is not tolerated and you will be asked to leave. 

What should my child wear and bring? 
- For day camp, please have your child wear clothes that can get messy, as they’ll be engaging in creative activities. They should bring a nut-free lunch, snacks, and a water bottle to stay hydrated. We kindly ask that no iPads or screens be brought, as we focus on hands-on fun. If needed, there is a phone available for emergencies. 

Do The Children Go Outside?

To ensure the children stay comfortable and relaxed, we remain indoors throughout the day. Our studio is equipped with air conditioning to keep the temperature just right. On cooler days, we open the windows and doors to let in a light breeze, creating a fresh, pleasant atmosphere. We’ve found that this keeps the children cool and focused, allowing them to enjoy their activities without the distraction of the outside heat.

My child is sick and needs to stay home. Can I get a refund?
- We’re really sorry to hear that your child is feeling unwell! Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds as materials are purchased in advance. However, we understand that sometimes life happens, and we’re happy to offer make-up days if our schedule allows. Please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can check availability and arrange a suitable make-up day for your child. We appreciate your understanding!

My child has behavioural issues, is that an issue?
- Not at all! We understand that children are still learning how to regulate their emotions. We’re happy to support your child in their creative journey. However, if your child’s behaviour significantly disrupts the experience for other children or it becomes violent, we may need to move them to a safe space and contact you to pick them up. If your child is registered for more than one day, they are more than welcome to return and try again! We want to make sure everyone has a positive experience.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and we strive to be flexible when things come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule your day camp registration, we are happy to offer one-time rescheduling as long as we are notified as soon as possible. To ensure we can accommodate your request, please contact us as soon as you know you need to reschedule. No-shows will result in the forfeiture of your spot with no rescheduling offer or refund.Thank you for your understanding!
